Have Your Say on Sports Playing Fields in West Devon
The importance of sport in the community is a key focus for West Devon Borough Council, who manage a number of local pitches and grounds.

These pitches might be used for football, rugby, hockey, cricket or other sports by local groups and teams.

Sports facility needs change over time as populations grow and expand. To make sure that there is a good supply of high-quality playing pitches available to meet current and future demand, the Council is updating its policy. We want to hear from local people about what they would like to see.

The draft plan has been developed by a steering group, which included Sport England and Active Devon as well as Council Planning Officers. It looks forward to facilities required over the next 13 years and updates an earlier strategy produced in 2015.
How can I have my say?
The Strategy and Action Plan documents below set out what we want to achieve and how we plan to go about it. Please read through each document, then send your comments and ideas to parks@swdevon.gov.uk.

Views and feedback will be reviewed and collated by our Officers, then used to help inform the final version, which will be published in the New Year.

The Consultation will run from 11 November until 23 December 2021
